This series gives a top-level account of the life of one of the premier figures in the Bible, Moses, and the Exodus, the seminal redemptive event of the Old Testament. In many ways Moses foreshadows Jesus, who “has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses,” (Hebrews 3:3). Similarly, the Exodus event anticipates the far greater Exodus—our deliverance from the slavemaster of sin—through Jesus, the spotless lamb of God. It also includes the songs of Moses and Miriam, celebrating God’s faithfulness in his deliverance of them through the parting of the sea.
